Slotted Nut GOST 5918
Slotted nuts mainly refer to hexagonal slotted nuts, that is, grooves are machined on the top of hexagonal nuts. It is used in conjunction with threaded bolts with holes and cotter pins to prevent the bolts and nuts from rotating relatively. See GB6178 ~ 6181, etc. Its function is to be used in conjunction with bolts with holes at the bar, and insert cotter pins to prevent loosening

The front and rear axles of the vehicle are fixed by fastening the screws that pass through the front and rear axles, so that the frame and tires are fixed together. To prevent the nuts from loosening, they must be fixed through the grooves of the slotted nuts with cotter pins. To fix the slotted nuts, the cotter pins must pass through the middle of the axle screws. In practical applications, slotted nuts can be used in mechanical manufacturing to connect various mechanical parts, such as bearings, gears, couplings, etc.
